The Waterfront Blues Festival is one of the largest and most revered music festivals in the country. It's been produced by the Oregon Food Bank since 1988 to raise necessary funds and awareness to fight hunger in Oregon and Southwest Washington. In 2015, the festival raised $869,214 for those facing hunger which is the equivalent of 2.6 million meals! The festival has raised more than 10 million dollars in the last 28 years.

For the last 5 years, sp71 has been photographing the event for Oregon Music News. It's a great opportunity to highlight the best musical talent around while staying true to our editorial roots. Here's a taste from 2015 which celebrated the city of New Orleans and the 10 year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The feature artists were Allen Toussaint and Macy Gray backed by Galactic!

The International Consumer Electronics Show, or International CES, is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. Held in Las Vegas every year, it has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years—the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace.

For CES 2014, sp71 photographed several environments for global brands such as Belkin International. It was an important event because Belkin introduced the sub-brand, Linksys, for the first time after acquiring the company the previous year. Here's a look at how they integrated the new acquisition into a new brand architecture.

Upon completion of this beautiful design build project, Ballard + Mensua Architecture seized the opportunity to tell it's story. They retained sp71 because we're known for storytelling and our ability to collaborate with multiple business and design stakeholders. The Kelly Open Door Farm project demonstrates our expertise in brand strategy, graphic design and photography services.

Once part of an 1800’s hunting and fishing lodge, Kelly Open Door Farm features two original rooms of chestnut, pine and apple wood. This gorgeous material is important to preserve and showcase, so the architect set out to design around these original rooms. The building was then expanded, renovated and surrounded by new porches and terraces to draw the user towards the surrounding beauty and heritage of Great Falls, Virginia. The story of Ballard + Mensua Architecture is about historic preservation, collaboration and sustainability. Engage us to learn more about how we work with architects, product design firms and real estate developers to craft unique brand identities and marketing strategy.
